Madiha joined Child & Child in March 2018 as a Paralegal in the Immigration department, having completed her law degree and Legal Practice Course from BPP University. Madiha has since commenced her training contract with Child & Child in September 2019 and is currently completing her first seat in the Immigration department.
With over 4 years of legal experience, Madiha specialises in all aspects of business and personal immigration law relating to UK inbound matters. She also deals with global mobility co-ordination by providing support and advice on strategic global immigration issues, and overseeing global work permits and processes for our corporate clients.
Her caseload has a particular focus on assisting with Tier 2 visa applications, alongside assisting sponsors with their compliance duties. In addition to this, she advises private clients on a breadth of immigration matters including the following:
- High-Net Worth clients with Tier 1 visa applications
- Tier 5 applications
- EEA applications under the regulations and also the new pre-settled/settled status scheme
- Family reunion
- Spouse/civil partner applications
- Settlement applications
- British citizenship and subsequent British passport applications
She has substantive exposure of dealing with appeal matters at the First-Tier Tribunal and at the Upper Tribunal. Moreover, she has a very strong success rate on having visit visa refusal decisions overturned through a Pre-Action Protocol letter without the client needing to proceed to a Judicial Review claim.
She is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association (ILPA) and a regular attendee of the monthly meetings.
