Cedric joined Child & Child’s dispute resolution team in October 2012 having previously worked for over 10 years at Lloyd & Associates LLP in the civil and commercial litigation department. With considerable experience and success in representing organisations in a variety of commercial disputes he also advises private individuals and entrepreneurs in a broad range of disputes in relation to civil litigation. He is experienced in both obtaining and defending injunctive proceedings, including Freezing and Search Orders. His focus is proactive and strategic on achieving commercial and cost effective results and often advises on risk management approaches and strategies to avoid pursuing a dispute through the courts. 

Cedric has wide ranging expertise and specialisms and advises on contractual disputes, property disputes, directors’ duties, insolvency, professional negligence, civil fraud.

  • acting for and against in complex claims relating to post termination restrictions, restraint of trade clauses, restrictive covenants, discrimination and bonus payments
  • acting for various clients bringing and defending claims relation to directors’ duties, misfeasance, unfair prejudice, dishonest assistance, knowing assistance and breach of duties
  • partnership disputes
  • acting in bringing and defending professional negligence claims relating to claims for professional negligence against solicitors, accountants, insurance brokers, IFA’s and architects
  • Claimant clinical negligence catastrophic injury claims – including brain injury
