Cedric Mascarenhas


Cedric joined Child & Child’s dispute resolution team in October 2012 having previously worked for over 10 years at Lloyd & Associates LLP in the civil and commercial litigation department. With considerable experience and success in representing both individuals and companies in a broad range of disputes, he has a proactive and strategic approach in advising clients, providing clear cost-effective advice.

  • acting in a wide variety of contractual disputes relating to the supply of goods and services,  enforceability of standard terms and conditions, implied terms, exclusion clauses and unfair terms
  • acting for and against in complex claims relating to post termination restrictions, restraint of trade clauses, restrictive covenants, discrimination and bonus payments
  • defending breach of duty claims against directors and allegations of dissipating assets aspects relating to the Insolvency Act 1986
  • partnership disputes
  • acting for a number of clients in disputes over ownership of land or property, particularly beneficial interest and trusts of land disputes
  • acting in bringing and defending professional negligence claims (emphasis on doctors)
